With fall semester comes the deadline for some of the world’s most competitive scholarships. On October 13, 2021, Brigham Young University's Office of Prestigious Scholarships and the Kennedy Center hosted a dinner to recognize the accomplishments of BYU students and alumni who hit submit on their applications to these scholarships.
The applicants—many of whom spent months preparing their applications for the Rhodes, Marshall, Fulbright, Gates Cambridge, and Knight-Hennessy Scholarships—met together over pad thai and curry to celebrate their efforts. The evening provided an opportunity for students from different disciplines—physics, film studies, psychology, political science, folklore, strategy, English teaching, and more—to come together to share their experiences and their plans for the future.
